Another great glass artist, that is from the West Coast, is Loren Stump. He does some amazing art with incredible detail. Robert Mickelsen said on the web sitehttp://www.stumpchuck.com/about.htm "I have always regarded Loren Stump as a genuine prodigy in glass. When he first started out, he attained such a high level of skill so quickly it seemed he must have studied glass in a past life. He is the type of glassworker who is always doing things that have never been done before, or new improved ways to do what has been done before even better" (par 1). Stump is from California and does regular classes in our area of the North West. His "Butterfly and Rose Paperweight" Has so much detail that the butterfly and rose look as if they were taken out of nature and placed inside the glass, very impressive. The "Gold Eggs" are amazing and just like the paperweights the detail is crazy, these are one of his classes that a friend of mine went to and shared with me. They are done on the end of a solid rod and then colored on the outside and cut on a wet saw. His works of art are truly incredible and amazing. Here are some of the glass art pieces that I like but there are so many more out there.
